BICOL UNIVERSITY

Bicol University is a premiere university in the Philippines nestled between coastal and offshore seas, mountains and a volcano. As a top-notched university in the country, it records a massive enrollment of about 25,000 students served by 450 faculty members. It belongs to the top-10 among the 112 state universities and colleges in terms of government funding. Bicol Region is endowed with natural learning environments or “learning-scapes” offered in its coastal beaches, mountains and freshwater lakes.

Teeming with diversity and high productivity, their ecosystems are home to nature’s wonders such as the Sinarapan, the 'world’s smallest commercial fish', and the Butanding, the 'world’s largest fish'. The BU Graduate School offers 44 academic programs for masters and doctorate degrees with a student population of about 2,600, one of the largest from any single graduate school in the country.
