The British Council regularly commissions research and provides platforms for sector leaders to amplify their work in arts and the creative economy. Our programmes help develop creative economies through policy and cultural leadership, as well as professionalising individual and organisational creative practices, creating new opportunities for and fostering strategic relationships with partners around the world.
Research is an important part of the British Council’s cultural relations work. Evidence from research helps us make key decisions in planning, such as in result areas to prioritise, opportunities for exchange and how we can best contribute. Creating research links between the United Kingdom and the Philippine increases mutuality, understanding and long-term, productive relationships between the knowledge base and cultures of our two countries.
