The British Embassy Manila in cooperation with the British Council and the United Kin¬gdom Education Advisory Service (UKEAS) will be hosting the UK-PH Partnership Conference on 21 March followed by an education fair dubbed as Study World UK 2020 on 22 March. Both events will be held at the Makati Shangri-La Manila.
The UK-PH Partnership Conference is part of a series of UK partnership-building activities to support Philippine universities in its internationalisation efforts to modernise the higher education sector and make it globally competitive. Representatives from UK universities will be meeting with their Philippine counterparts in another milestone event to promote more UK-Philippine collaborations on research, student and faculty mobility and transnational education.
On the second day, Study World UK 2020 – an education fair with the theme Degrees for Jobs of the Future – will offer guests access to information about niche courses in the UK such as data and cyber security, digital finance, digital creatives, advanced engineering and high-tech medical professions. The education fair will also give prospective students, whether undergraduates or professionals seeking to upgrade their qualifications, access to special sessions on university applications, essay writing, visa applications and living in the UK. There will also be a helpdesk to give advice and information on student funding opportunities including self-paid and partial or full scholarships.
