This cross-cultural, pan-continental artistic project is a collaboration between two animated filmmakers that aims to produce a poetic stop motion animation piece about the environment whilst promoting sustainable practice in stop motion.

It looks at recycling, both as a thematic provocation and methodology for stop motion puppet building. The initiative uses the coast as a pool of inspiration, beach-combing and taking what waste washes up to then create puppets; found-object creations that reflect the recycled nature of their existence. As a final output, the puppets will be brought to life in a short animated piece highlighting the environmental crisis we live in.
