Cecilia Martinez-Miranda

Co-Founder, Create Cebu

Cecilia Martinez-Miranda develops place-based community assets in the Philippines. Her work includes the revitalization of Crossroads Cebu, Cebu’s first strip mall, to turn it into a hub for homegrown business and community culture. She is also the co-founder and co-convener of Create Cebu, a movement to promote art, culture and the creative economy in Cebu.

Cecilia earned her B.A. in International Studies and Education from Macalester College and will be starting an MSc in Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Management at Imperial College London. 

Cecilia is a Manila Hub Global Shaper, StartingBloc Fellow and winner of a Davis’ Projects for Peace prize.

Miguel del Rosario

President, Animation Council of the Philippines, Inc.

Miguel joined Toon City in 2010 as President and Chief Executive Officer. His vision is to make it one of the best animation studios in the world. He would like to see the Philippines to be the major force in animation in Asia. He believes in the Filipino talent, in the same way that Phinma acquired Toon City in the belief that it should be a showcase of Filipino talent.

Miguel is also President of the Animation Council of the Philippines, Inc. and Assistant Treasurer – Board of Trustees of the IT & Business Process Association of the Philippines (IBPAP). 

Nestor Palabyab

Executive Director, Philippine Trade Training Center

As Executive Director, Mr. Palabyab heads the DTI Center for trade training and leads in the expansion of the Center’s Programs from international trade into a Global SME Academy, where the PTTC endeavors to enable MSMEs to level up on their capabilities from start up stage, growth, to expansion, both in the domestic and international markets. The PTTC, as an attached agency assist MSMEs through training, mentorship, and learning sessions using traditional methods and technology-enabled platforms.  Recently, he led the Center in conducting its maiden offering of the module on Creative Enterprise Toolkit, in collaboration with the British Council as well as the Center’s role as Administrator for the ASEAN Online SME Academy. 

Mr. Palabyab, is  a Career Executive Officer (CESO III), has an MBA Degree from Dela Salle University, Manila, degrees in Economics and Hotel and Restaurant Administration, from the University of the Philippines.
